February 27, 1945 RN Widowed 4
Mike Butler and I married after my 1st year at IU and had 2 daughters (Libby-48 and Margaret-45). I went back to school when girls were 4 and 1 and received my RN degree. In 1983, I married Jim Harlan and have 2 additional children, Jimmy and Ginny. I worked at a number of hospitals in the state during my marriage to Jim as he was a second career minister after retiring from PSI.  Jim and I were married 20 years and crammed a bunch in those 20 years, before he passed away in 2001. I retired from IU Cancer Center in 2004 to take care of my Mother, Joan Stricklen as she had Alzheimer’s. Since 2004, I have worked at the IU Cancer Center and School of Nursing as an hourly research nurse, specifically in Breast Cancer - when I am not traveling the world anyway!  I have 7 grandchildren ranging in age from 23 to two 12 year olds and 2 great-grandchildren 6 and 2. My leisure time is spent doing Habitat for Humanity projects both in Fort Myers, FL and locally, building wheelchair ramps in Indy with SAWS and reading.  I love to travel and have visited Scotland, The Netherlands, Western Carribean, Hawaii, Greece and Ireland to name a few.  I winter for the months of March and April in Surprise, Arizona, where my sister Jane and her husband live. The Girl Scout Troop 1044, that many of us were a part of from 4th grade to 12th grade, have been meeting in Pinehurst, North Carolina every August with Mrs. Brown and Carolyn Brown Clemmens. It has been so much fun, getting together with old friends, laughing until we can hardly talk, I know that our 50th NHS Class of 1963 Reunion will be just as much fun. Janet Stricklen Butler Harlan

Business Strategist/Broker Married 2
It has been a long ride since I left Noblesville High School.  After college I served for 3 years as a US Naval Officer.  Then I discovered Southern Living in Tallahassee and have been here ever since.  First with Graduate School at FSU (how tough could that be?!) and then later with politics/government and serving two Florida Governors.  Have been busy in the private sector since the mid 1980's with start up companies and selected projects. Currently help businesses prepare exit strategies in a tax efficient way.

Was lucky to find a southern gal to marry in 1977.  We have lived in Tallahassee since then and vacation in Colorado in the summer.  Our childern are grown, Adrienne lives in Adelaid Australia with her husband and two young boys: Axel Von Bivens and Gage Jagger Bivens.  Our son, Marshall, is a US Naval Officer and just returned from serving for 2 years on a guided missile destroyer out of Japan.  He is currently satiioned in Little Creek, VA on an Amphibous Warfare Ship.

I have many fond memories of my days growing up in Noblesville and attending public school with wonderful teachers and close friends.  I am really looking forward to our reunion to see and talk with so many classmates with whom I have not crossed paths for almost 50 years!   It is going to be "a happening!"

May 09, 1945 Retired from Noblesville Fire Department Married 1
After graduation, I attended and graduated from Indiana Business College.  My first job was with the law firm of ICE MILLER DONADIO & RYAN.

After the birth of my son in 1967, I was a stay-at-home Mom until I started working at the Noblesville Fire Department.  Classmate Jeff Reveal was the Fire Chief; and, THE BEST BOSS EVER!

In 1995, while working for The Shorewood Corporation, I met and then later married Ron Louks.  Ronnie, although he can go in his 31 + years of military mode at times (LOL), is the best thing to happen to me other than my son and his family.

Steven McDonald is my son.  Steven and his wife (Wendy) live in Naperville, Illinois.  They blessed us with three grandchildren:  Dayna (19) is an accomplished equestrian; Colin (15) is extremely athletic--especially in LaCrosse; and, "Smiley" Riley (10) is ALWAYS smiling and excels in football.  Needless to say, our Naperville family is the center of our world.

I am very excited about seeing everyone!  I have thoroughly enjoyed searching for '63 classmates--now ready to chat with everyone!
